Elaine Schmidt (Huf)

Elaine Schmidt (Huf)

Two people killed in the crash of a World War II vintage plane which went down into a wooded area in northeastern PA not far from where the couple lived, were identified as 73 year old Thomas Huf and 65 year old Elaine Schmidt Huf of Kingsley, PA. Elaine was a retired Bristol Township police officer.  At a reunion in 2012, she was extremely happy with her marriage in later life to a man who shared her sense of adventure for flying and travel.

I DID NOT KNOW ELAINE IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT WELL.  WE GOT TO KNOW EACH OTHER AROUND 2007.   SHE BECAME A VERY GOOD FRIEND.   SHE WAS AN AMAZING PERSON.  SHE DID SO MANY THINGS IN HER LIFE.    WE HAD GREAT TIMES IN ATLANTIC CITY AND WHEN WE GOT TOGETHER WITH THE 65 GIRLS AND OUR MANY MANY PHONE TALKS.    I WILL NEVER FORGET HER.  PAM CAMILLA ROOK.

Elaine was a person to get involved and try new things. Elaine and I were friends in elementary school...sledding on snowy days, making a fort in the field and riding bikes. Our friendship was renewed after graduating when she became the first female Police Officer in Bucks County and I was a Juvenile Probation Officer. She was soooo enthusiastic when she spoke of flying and the planes she owned.  Elaine was a positive person who always made you feel good.
